Cry! Yes weep, lament, shed tears etc. Believe it or not crying helps release stress, that's our pressure relief valve. Try it I promise you will feel much better when your finished.

If you don't know why you are depressed it could be due to a nutritional disorder.

well, you sound like you are just in a bad mood and not necessarily depressed. Here are a few things that can help.

As the person before me mentioned, diet can make a big difference in how you feel. And specifically a diet where you avoid high carb foods so your blood sugar levels don't go all over the place can be good for your mood.

Exercise - good physical health has a tremendous effect on your mood. I hate to "exercise" too, but I love to go for walks and look around at the world while I'm out there. It really helps my mood.

Pray - Ask God to hold you and put His Peace, Joy, Comfort, Happiness, and Love in your heart and to hold you in His Heart. Remember, you are His beloved child and He never wants to see you sad. He can give you great Comfort.

Read the Bible - I love to read the Psalms when I am down - and that is often since I get badly depressed. They make me feel so calm and serene.

I hope these suggestions help you feel happier. And, even when you don't want to go out or don't have any reason to go out, make sure you go outside and talk to at least one other person each day - even if it's the guy at the 7-11 and all you say is how much is the coffee and where are your fresh fruits.

God Bless you, you'll be okay.

Go to the circus, that cheers me up

The fact that you are writing to Yahoo Answers is a good sign. You may be going through some physical changes. It could be chemical (hormonal) or some mental adjustments. Even the weather can do it. What my suggestion would be is go back to work but realize that this job may be the major reason why you are feeling so down. Look around, ask your self if it is worth it. You can start to look around for a better job, secretly, while you are still working. Changes like that can make you feel better.

I often feel unloved, and reading the Psalms in the bible always makes me feel better and encouraged; and when I look in there and read how much God loves me, the Perfect God of the universe actually loves me, I can't help but feel better and feel honored.
