Heroin use...what does it feel like ...?!
Question: Heroin users discuss, I see junkies around town and I'm curious. First, off I don't condone the use and I'll never try it. That being said I'd like to know the following:
What is the high like?
What is the feeling of addiction like?
What is it like overcoming the addiction.
I appreciate your answers, and best of luck over coming your addiction or staying clean.

From what I have heard, it makes you feel warm and fuzzy all over. Its like taking a painkiller and you just want to sit and feel everything. It makes you feel itchy all over because of the opiate in it which comes from the poppy plant.
The addiction is horrible. You want it again and again as soon as you come down. ( Not comparible to meth) . But your body can go into shock if you don't get your "fix" because opiates are highly addictive.
Overcoming the addiction is like experiencing hell. You just want more and more. You can't sleep and you sweat and pretty much go into withdrawal because your body wants more of the opiate.
You can do a google search for a website called Erowid Experience Vault(http://www.erowid.org/experiences/exp_se... and it should be the first one that comes up. Click on the search button at the top and you can click on any drug you can think of and it will come up with a list of peoples experiences and it will give you more in depth information on heroin use.
I don't condone it and would never reccommend it! Stay safe and drug free!
heroin is one of the most addictive drugs out there.
Dont get curious..Dont try it or think about it..Ignore it like it doesn't exist it will ruin your life
Best description: "You can't function on it, you can't function without it."
That describes the addiction, and the high kind of. People tell me it's the best feeling they've ever felt.
And the addiction and high can be stronger or weaker depending on if you snort it, shoot it, etc.
I'd stay far away from it, if you want to experience a similar high, go with fentanyl patches.
Also, go to the website that Ken recommended, most stories on there are just whiney kids who can't handle drugs, but i bet it will scare you away from heroin, it scared me away from allot of things.

my nephew was a very attractive guy until he got hooked on heroin and now he is homeless and very sick.When he tries to get off of it,he cant.Hopefully you are doing a report for school on drugs and not thinking of trying it.Please dont!!
