Has anyone ever been to couples therapy?!
Question: My partner and i are going to couple therapy for alot of different issues but i am just wondering if anyone else has ever ben=en and what they got outof it and if they think it worked?

Me and my ex did for less than happy reasons. I can honestly say that the counsler opened my eyes on alot of issues, but remember you have to be open. Dont hold nothing back, but my counsler told me that it has to be a two way street if you both arent willing to work then it wont. He actually told me with my ex that it wouldnt work because he wasnt willing to change.6 months later something happened and I filed for a divorce
I believe it helped me then, and now as I carry what he spoke about in my now relationship.

if you're a logical person, then there probably isn't anything you'll get out of it. (logical person knows that if they have an issue that they can't resolve with the person themselves, then someone else is less likely)
Well I had very poor results from it and ended up in divorce anyway - turns out people are who they are and talking about it really doesnt do much
sometimes we take little things and blow them up into big ones - so its best to forgive and forget for most things - therapists can give a lot of good advice on how to deal with this - communicating and such - showing appreciation is one of the more important things you can do
then the big ones like loyalty/ cheating and addiction and fianance and religion - these things cant be changed and if you are struggling here , therapy wont work - you will suffer until you end it and move on
