If you suffer Tourette's, do people ever inflict punishment on you for uncon!
Question: People punish me for it, & when I explain to them about my TS, they say I'm making up excuses to get out of trouble. There were times where I've almost gotten arrested for disturbing the peace for my uncontrollable tics & outbursts. I've also lost jobs because of it, too.

For a job sake find an employer that will work with you and be honest about the tics (however minor they may be at times let them know that some are uncontrollable). Maybe they can find you somewhere to work away from being put on display if you have an episode. No matter what syndrome or abnormality someone has people are just unkind and can't wait to ridicule.
Some people do as they can not see the illness behind and refuse to see it because they judge you before they now the problem it is common for people to feel offended even if it is an outburst.
Though it pains me to say it, it does not get any easier though I do not live with it personally I have known a few who have and it is hard but just don't let it get to you be happy you know this is just apart of you and you must accept that live life no matter how hard it gets it will always have its good times.
