Moderate self-harm - such as cutting, burning, piercing, biting and hair pulling.
Stereotypic self-harm - such as head banging. Stereotypic self-harm may be associated with other disabilities..
Major self-harm - such as amputation and castration. Major self-harm is often associated with some form of psychosis

banging your head against a wall
purposly doing stupid things to get hurt..............
burning with a cigarette - but as someone said earlier
lots of laughter is not what you want to say there is no laughter in any of this only pain
Anything done on purpose to cause pain to distract from emotional distress or release strong emotions is self-harm. Some forms of this include:
cutting
burning
scratching/pinching
picking at wounds/refusing to let them heal
purposefully breaking bones
hair-pulling
hitting, punching or slapping oneself
banging ones head against the wall
I have been a self mutilater sense I was 12 years old. I am now 19. Different kinds of self mutilation are hair pulling, cutting, burning, peirceing the skin in any way, punching yourself or other objects trying to hury yourself. Please don't self mutilate. I regret doing it so much. I have scars up and down my arms and legs and it really sucks because when I try to go out and get a job and everything they see all this stuff and they ask what happened. What the heck am I supposed to say? The cat scratched me? I have way to many scars that would have to be a freaking lion. If you want to self mutilate please get some professional help.
