What do you think is best?!

Question: do you think its better to take anxiety or depression pills or get over it on your own?

Answers: do you think its better to take anxiety or depression pills or get over it on your own?

I think that it depends on the severity and the symptoms. A medical professional can let you know if drugs are the best solution. Many times people need a combination of medicine and therapy to help with anxiety and depression. I would talk to my doctor. Sometimes will is not enough and can be frustrating to just try to get better on your own.

I think it is best to try & get over it yourself without pills.

In some cases, depression pills may be the right choice; only if someone is suffering from serious depression, such as suicidal thoughts. Senarios in which someone should get over it would be if they're going through a 'phase'.

Get over it on your own. Pills make you too dependent on them and dont solve your problems. They just cover them up superficially, and once you stop your problems will still be there. The best way is through therapy and talking. That naturally builds up your emotional strength and stays longer.

I think first it would be better to try and get over it on your own, but if the depression continues you should really let someone close to you know and then see a doctor. they will let you know if going on pills is the right thing or not.

people should try getting over it on their own, but not on their own.
People with anxiety and depression need support to overcome it. The problem with depression and some forms of anxiety though is that it has to do with a chemical imbalance of the brain. Which means unless for some strange reason your body corrects the imbalance, you're gunna need pills.

Trust me. I hate taking pills but its the only way to try and help me now.

If the anxiety and depression is severe, I think that a combo of medications and therapy would be the best path.

I think it's better to find out what's causing the problems. In my case, anxiety was caused by anemia. Depression was caused by having very low blood sugar. Drugs would not have corrected these problems.
