Could it be bipolar?!

Question: I have been on 25mg of Zoloft and 150mg of Wellbutrin XL for a little over a month now for depression. And ever since I started them, I've been having alot of mood swings. One day I'll be full of energy, super happy and really hyper and I won't need any sleep. Then a few days later I'll be exahusted and depressed. Could this maybe be bioplar disorder?

Have you ever had manic-like symptoms before? If not, then medication-induced mania is not enough to warrant a diagnosis of bipolar disorder. You have depression that is difficult to treat.

If you've felt like this before, and the medication has simply induced rapid cycling, then yes, it's a possibility that you have bipolar disorder.

Either way, see your doctor, because these are not the medications for you.

You haven't given near enough information to warrant a diagnosis of bi-polar. Go to the dr. that wrote you the SSRIs and explain the mood swings. Follow up with that right away as some people do not respond well to these meds and he/she needs to be aware. Quit trying to self diagnosis and just tell the dr. what is going on.

I would recommend going back to your doctor and describing these symptoms.

It sounds to me like you are on the wrong type of anti depressant medications.

Your doctor will know what to do.

Best of luck to you!

no.

hyperness to exhaustion isn't from bipolar disorder.

i took Lexapro for two months, i went wild. more depressed,
more aggressive, kind of a psychotic break right before
i went cold turkey on it. i didn't need sleep because i was cycling hardcore, it was very extreme. and since you are on an antidepressant[s] and you'd act like you were going nuts,
you'd be very mad, very manic like, actually the reason why you'd be very aggressive is because of the mania getting worse from the antidepressants.

so no, you're just having side effects. you'd be a lot worse if you were bipolar.

Wellbutrin can make you a bit "speedy". Try taking it as early in the day as possible.
