Any hints for living with an ADHD adult with relationships problems the size of !

Question: learn about adhd (as much as you can). there are many tips and tricks for adults with it to learn to live "a normal life." medicine can help, but won't do enough without some help. check where you live and see if there are any group meetings - many places have them and they offer adults with adhd information on how to live better with it.

try to keep things organized and on a schedule. keep busy, but not overloaded. allow for great creativity and movement at points throughout the day. stay away from preservatives and artificial flavoring/coloring as much as possible (this is tough, but it does help). when problems arise, address them one at a time so that it's not too overwhelming.

adhd people often have relationship issues, but with their own recognition of challenges along with the non-adhd person's recognition, these can be met and overcome. you might also check out a group for people like yourself. there are some on the net and may be some in your town.

=/ no advice here but my dad and sister have ADHD, try medicine >< sadly they dislike it so they have mood swings and become cyco

meds are the way to go ^.^ believe meh >.> you also may want to have talk sessions......... with a counselor

plus my sister had tons of emoticon that she even asked my mom to go to the cyco ward in the hospital...... for 2 weeks. Just try medicine, it's so much better to live with them when they take it, they may not like the effects tho(thats why my sister quit >.<)

my sister is 20 btw

ADHD adults have a lot of emotional and psychological problems. THey should always be kept busy! e.g Work. Work and work.

Yes, a whole lot of perseverance and patience, the size of HEAVEN!

both partners should be in counseling. the partner that doesn't have ADHD should learn as much about it as possible and try to be patient.

Possible resource. Some persons with ADHD have subtle hearing/listening difficulties. Good luck.
