I'm not very social?!

Question: I mean I just go to school, talk to the friends I usually talk on a daily basis. When my friends are talking I just listen along and smile when they say something funny. I don't really go in and say something. Or If my friends call me and say if I want to hangout, I wouldn't go. I just wanna be left alone. I don't talk to my friends' friends when they are together talking. I don't really feel comfortable meeting and talking to my friends' friends basically. I guess I just go to school, do what I gotta do, and come home to be left alone to do my activities like play games, watch the NBA, or be on the internet. I always think to myself, If I was thinner, I'd be more social. Right now I'm not THAT fat. I'd say middle sized. But I always tend to think if I was thinner, I'd be more social. This summer, I'm gonna work hard to get thin and also practice basketball because that's the sport I wanna play in highschool. Im in 8th grade currently.

There are other ways to meet new people besides at school. Sports, after-school clubs & activities, church activities, volunteering your services.. Sharing a skill you are good at is a great way to meet people...If others judge you because of your weight, its their loss. There are people around who will valuie you for who you are rather than what you look like...seek them out...

I have no idea what is causing it, but just try to be more confident. If you believe in yourself and think positive thoughts, it really helps, I promise. You'll be 110% happier.

I'm not a doctor or anything, but you could be depressed or self conscious, or something is happening in your life. If your concerned about your weight, then find a sport or activity that like to do. You might feel better after. But then again, I don't know know for sure, just some suggestions =)

your not the only guy like that i'm in the 11 grade & im in the same situation e-mail me @ yorkjeff59@yahoo.com we could be friends
