Why am I unable to sleep tonight?!


Question: I am 28, healthy, active. This has never happened before. I usually sleep as soon as the bedroom light goes out. its 3.15 am now!!

It could be lonliness, stress, anxiety, or any unresolved matter that keeps you thinking of it.

If you have any unresolved matter, write down what you will do about it.

Possibly stress or nerves, it happens to everyone sometimes. Now you probably can't stop thinking about not sleeping therefore you aren't sleeping. ;) Try listening to slow music or start reading a book or magazine.

I can't sleep tonight either.

Sometimes this happens :).. I feel a bit lonely actually.. i'll ring someone up- sure they won't mind :P

Thinking too much....I had that for a while but I was on the computer constantly so I didn't want to sleep. It is easier if you don't do anything exciting like video game or something that makes your mind go wild an hour before you go to sleep. And when you are in bed and you still can't sleep, still lay there and try to sleep and don't turn on your light even if you can't sleep cause if light can make you awaken again.

I usually can't sleep if I'm stressed out. Also I lay awake some nights when I know I have to get up really early.

i agree with the answer above
try putting on some music you like real low so you have to be completly quiet to hear it
relaxing and listening to music will soothe your mind and help you fall asleep easier

if this continues for a week or more, you could always consult your doctor on getting sleeping pills (light dose, nothing strong like lunesta)

if that diesn't help at all then there is always the good ol' count-the-sheep method lol
