Laughing to myself?!
Question: So like today after all that has happened over the past few months, being diagnosed with catonic schizophrenia, positive symptoms, seeing a man in a trenchcoat, hearing whispering and none iof the drugs working i started laughing to myself in class and at really innapropriate times e.g when my friend was talking about her dead gran.
I know ive got something wrong with me but i just don't know how to cope please help.

How long have you been taking the medications? Are you having problems with immobility? I'm surprised you are in school if you have just been diagnosed with catatonic schizophrenia (because the best known symptom is the person's immobility). It may take a while for the medications to start to work, given the individual is maintaining the medicines regimen. How are you coping with stress? You might want to go back to your psychiatrist and explain you are still having significant problems. A change in your medication or dosage may be needed.
Taking the meds for a month...It will probably take longer before you start to feel a significant difference. Your doctor will know for sure.
if you laugh to urself thinking about what happened today that was funny
in my opinion thats normal....
but seeing things and hearing things is NOT normal....
talk to your parents about it if you still live with them or id say talk to ur docter
before it gets out of control
