It could be a generalized anxiety disorder, or a social anxiety disorder. I have anxiety issues, and have some of these same symptoms. I have been seeing a doctor, and there are some meds that they can prescribe to help with these kinds of issues. I hope you feel better. Good Luck!

you dont have a mental illness... low self esteem and being introverted is very common... mostly if you are still a teenager.

all you lack is self confidence cause you dont like yourself and therefore makes you feel not liking to meet new people.

my advise is to look at yourself and imagine how you want to be... and start making your dream... life isnt about finding yourself... but creating your self!

also engage your self in social stuff, smile to people... it wont hurt!!!! and there is no reason to give a sad look. and when smiling people will eventually think you are friendly.

best of luck :) xxxxxxx

Depression would cover it.

you are just like me i am afraid of death but i imajin it ofen of my loved ones try to relax you need a break from the world

ummmm dont think tat a mental illness
more like a phobia

Depression or general anxiety disorder (GAD) would most probably be diagnosed......lots of people suffer from these.
Why dont you try some relaxation/meditation - it can really help stabilise your mood - also join a fitness group - Yoga? - this will also help. Both help socialise you too.
Talking problems through is really theraputic too ....why dont you go and see your GP - they may be able to point you in the right direction and help you out..

It sounds like depression.

Sounds like me and I was told I have Severe Depression, among other things...those being manic. But in my depressive moods I'm exactly like that but a bit worse. You also can't handle stress well perhaps because of feeling so down about yourself, so when you work on the depression the stress should go away.

It sounds to me like you are depressed. Depression can and will make you withdraw, feel hopeless, want to lay around and sleep most of the time. Fear of being around people because you don't want them to know you are having a problem, and afraid they will see something is wrong with you.
It can cause you to feel ashame, also cause confusion. Get very upset when something goes wrong.... etc...

Please go see your doctor and be honest with him about how you are feeling. He can give you a prescription for your depression, or run test to make sure there is not a physical problem.

Honey, you have absolutely nothing to be ashamed of. If you only knew how many people suffer from depression you would be shocked. You are not alone in your suffering, so go to your doctor ok?

adonis could be correct ... OR you could be suffering from depression ...

we can't really give you a fair answer without actually knowing you... IF you are concerned re your mental health.. then please speak to your parents or a school counsellor or your doctor...
maybe you only need reassurance ?
