Why do people talk in their sleep?!

Question: Ok a lot of you will probalby say because there dreaming or something like that but I'm just wondering because I share a room with my brother and he talks in his sleep often, but it's usually jibberish. But I was just wondering what is the significance of talking in your sleep why do only some people do it and others not. I dont talk in my sleep(from what I have been told) and I think my brother is the only one in my house that does(that I have heard)

If you think about, the question should really be "Why doesn't everyone talk in their sleep?" Think about it: we're dreaming, we think what we're seeing is real. So why don't we act out our dreams and say all the lines in our beds?

The answer is because your body is supposed to turn off your motor functions while you sleep for this exact reason. Sometimes, this doesn't go as planned -- especially due to stresses like eating before bed, lifestyle changes, heavy workloads, alcohol, drugs, and erratic sleep patterns or bedtimes. Anything stressful can screw up this paralysis mechanism.

The result can be sleep talking, sleep walking, bedwetting, sleep eating, even sleep sex and sleep driving. A few people have even been acquitted of murder when it was concluded they were asleep at the time!

The opposite also sometimes happens: your can wake up paralyzed. This has happened to me on several occasions. It is not very pleasant.

Don't worry, it's not a big deal. If he starts yelling or moaning, wake him up because it's usually because he's having a nightmare. Otherwise, it's not a bad thing. Perhaps he needs more rest and less stress.

this is because their mind is never at rest, they have less time according to the list of the tasks they have to accomplish.

sometimes, this is a result of stress of any sort, that you can come to know from what they say while sleeping.

while, sometimes they say meaningless things but that has something to do with what is there in their subconscious mind, so it seems absurd to you. in reality, they are full of thoughts that dominate their minds when they are sleeping.

some say, that it is a sort of mental disorder and it should be ignored if the person talks leisurely like laughing or something like that. but if something disturbing, then a doctor's visit is must.

I think it varies from person to person. I know that I talk in my sleep and have been known to not only hold entire conversations, but also to play board games while asleep. LOL

However the most telling for me was when I had a really stressfull job. My boyfriend said that I would swear and yell at people from my job and we figured it was just a way by mind decided to get out my feelings. If I did that at work I would have been fired for sure!

I am also an overachiever and can rarely turn my brain off, so it probably is still going full force while I'm sleeping.

Is like a sleeping disorder
