How can I just be ME?!?!

Question: Please dont judge me..I dont know if this is a problem or what..
But, if I see a girl, an actress or someone I know, doesn't matter..and I like the way they dress, act, or whatever, I try to look the way they look, and I try to dress the way they dress and act the way that they act. & I hate it because I just wish sometimes I had my own ideas..and sometimes I'd obsess (if you wanna call it that) over an actor or actress. I'd watch of movie with that person in it and I'd be a huge fan for months and then if i stop paying attention to them it'd be like whatever..but if I see them in another film or recently see a picture of them I start all over again..its kinda something I can't help.
Idk if i should talk to anyone about this..but does it seem serious? Or is it maybe a phase?
Help please!

I think what you're doing is perfectly natural. You're just trying to define yourself.

Best advice, is to try and tone it down somewhat. Take the parts that you like and makes you happy and leave the parts that you don't. In the short run, that'll give you a better feel in working towards defining yourself.

I think it is a phase. You can just be you by not caring what people think but caring about how they feel.

lol its not hard to be yourself unless you are honestly that desperate to look "better" or act "cooler"

I think this is a phase on how willing you allow the media, outside forces, control you. Have you noticed that Retro items are in now, or are they. Only wear what "You" want to wear. If it's not hip, who cares anymore, since the mean person, YOU!, is wearing for comfort alone, not by some rules and regulations, but keep in mind that there's always a time and place. The best example is if your Church will allow that, since some clothing, I'm guilty myself, is more fitting then others.

Well, it's not a bad thing to be inspired by other people and get ideas from looking around at others, everybody does that to some extent. Mimicry is a natural human behavior. However, if you feel like you're copying them completely/exactly to the point where you feel they'd be offended by it, I agree that you might want to tone it down a little.
It might help to make a list of all the things (styles, clothing, motifs, colors, looks, whatever) that you know you personally like...think back to all the things you've thought were cool/attractive, and which ones appealed the most to you.
Go to the store and browse through all different kids of stuff on the racks and make mental notes of which ones jump out as you as ones that you think are cute. Or browse online clothing stores, hairstyles, whatever, there are tons of galleries- and do the same. This will help you slowly identify your own style- I don't say "create" your own style because I bet you already have one; I think the problem is that you get too absorbed in what others are doing to focus on what's really important to you.
I don't think it's anything to worry about; just make a conscious effort not to copy people directly. Just being aware that you have a tendency to do this will help you to do it less. If anything, it's probably a phase and in time you'll learn what your own style is. Don't worry!

just go to the store and buy clothes that you like and dont think about the actress or girl you are thinking of. It's okay to have your style influenced by someone but add a little bit of your style to it too :)

hmmm....
Remeber that everything is nOt as it appears.
These people that u idolize have their own abundance of issues and imperfections.
Rather than spending time trying to be like them, work on being a better you :).
Try cultivating qualities like kindness, love, joy.....
the inner you.
Unlike that momentary desire or fascination, making your mind over and the fruitage it produces wont be temporary. There will be long lasting benefits, such as happiness and better relationship with fam & friends....!!

sounds normal to me lol. everyone see's somthing they like and if they like it enough, they mesh it in whit what ever else is going on, the result could be a nice mixture of many thing. try to look for new things

This sounds just like me i get a little to obsessive over people and thing i dont know or dont have i guess im just trying to make up for what i dont have or look like in real life?
