Why do i shut everyone out?!

Question: I am alone in this world with no one but my family.

I guess i can start my story when i was 11 and moved to my current town. Ever since my first day of school here i was picked on, it caused me to go into depression. I ate and ate to make myself feel better, I was around 200lbs. This went on until i was expelled from school in 10th grade. I sat at home for half a year until my mother suggested that i go to military school. On January 14, 2007 i went to military school and graduated on June 16, 2007 with my diploma. It has been almost 9 months since i graduated and it seems that everyone that try's to talk to me i feel like they are picking on me so i just push them away i am afraid of what might happen.

This is me after military school more then 40lbs less then what i use to weigh http://i289.photobucket.com/albums/ll223...

I think that you shut people out because you are insecure, this is not a bad thing, but maybe it is something you want to work on. Perhaps people see you as insecure too and that is why they might pick on you.
I lack a lot of self confidence. I used to tell myself that no one liked me because i was different then they were. Well I let that continue several years using that as the excuse. Then I realized that it wasn't them that didn't like me, it was me that wasn't outgoing and talkative. I am naturally quiet and enjoy being quiet, but in order to have friends I make myself be outgoing... oh its hard, but once you make yourself outgoing and enjoyable to be around I saw a lot of difference.
Try having more confidence. People want to be your friend. If they seem that they are picking on you just tell them to stop and that you don't like it. Also show them that you can be a real friend and outgoing and likeable. Its hard at first and you may feel that everyone knows that you are trying, but really they dont' know. All they see is an outgoing likeable person in place of the quiet shy reserved person that we are. You are not alone.

Thats the effects of the abuse and i think you need therapy. You could not really fix it after having been so anti social for a long time.

that happened 2 me......since i was so used 2 being attacked i always had a guard up....stop thinking people r against u........u dont kno what theyre thinking so assume the best be positive......theres something special about everyone so find what makes u special, and grow, dont be so introverted and stop worrying what other think.......

p.s. your adorable a red head cutie...theres nothing wrong with u chill n relax...u can fix this im slowly am

Well try opening yourself, go to the mall, talk to some people and force yourslef. Call some old buddies before you turned 11. Get your family members to introduce some other their friends to you or something, or try getting a pet. And who cares what other ppl do to you, they shouldnt affect the rest of your life.
