How to deal with anger over lost pet?!

Question: i lost my 3 month old baby chi 3 weeks ago. my elderly father asked to take her outside, promising to watch her. but he left my poor baby outside by herself ( to watch tv) and she crawled under our fence and was struck by a car. i dream about her everynight. she was the closest being to ever exist to me and i had never loved anyone the way i loved her. my birthday is coming up and i said i wanted HIM to buy another puppy to try to get my mind of her but he has refused. I could buy another puppy, myself but I feel he is responsible for her death. i still talk about her everyday but he keeps telling me to talk about her in the past tense because she is gone, keeps telling me to accept it and acts like IM the one who has issues for taking it so hard. most days i deal with it but at times i feel intense rage for my dad. my whole family has expressed sympathy and he is the only one who has yet to expresss condolence to me when he was the one who he left her alone. should i confront him?

I don't think you should necessarily confront him, but get your anger out before you "talk" to him.
maybe go to your room and punch a pillow or throw stuffed animals around. as long as it isn't breaking anything and it isn't hurting anyone, then that's fine. after getting your anger out, I would talk to him about how hurt you are and that you would like him to get you a new one because you think he was responsible.

heavy bag, cardio, weight lifting, martial arts

Well some men are pretty careless about things like that so I wouldn't take it personally. If you really feel that way I would confront him since he did do something wrong. Maybe he will buy you another one but don't let him take care of it next time.

i too have lost my dog a few weeks ago its sad and not fun to go through but you really cant blame him it was just his time to go (if u believe in god) god has plans for ur dog be greatful for the time you had with ur dog

Hmm tell your father to take responsibility as of course your father has the fault not you. Tell him that he is at fault do not hesitate to answer back the whole family sympathized but he didnt he isnt least guilt about the death of your puppy. If he doesnt well its his neglegence after all tell him that.

My dog died after spaying him.
I felt the same way you felt.He was the best thing that ever happened to me.

It took me three years to get over him and I got out of it by talking to people.It helps.The hardest part was to realsie he was gone.

Courage=)
