Is is normal to fear death?!

Question: I never thought much about death until my dad died 15 years ago. I adored him. Then 5 years ago my 21 yr old son died. I have faith.
I am suddenly scared, almost becasue it is so overwhelming what we might be going to. I fear my humanity won't be able to deal with it.
Please don't say just believe. That isn't an answer really.
I personally had a near death experience. I was in the white light for a short while and totally free of fear or any other negative feelings. Then I came back. I fear that I can't deal with it when it happens. I also fear medical complications because I have had them. I have anxiety. And take medication.
Anyone over come this fear?
I read the bible, I know all the Christian things.
I understand faith. I am just dealing with this. Yes I pray about it. I have many people praying for me. Losing a child is horrible. I worry about things unreasonable. Help ???

Is it normal to a certain extent to fear death and healthy in a way however you dont wanna ocd on it. When it comes to the point that all you can think about is death and worry about it insomuch that it takes all the happiness and joy of life away then it becomes a problem. Death is inevitable we will all face it it is better to come to this realization and live out what time we have here with happiness and peace. I think it is mainly the fear of the unknown because no one who is alive is 100% sure what happens after death that it scares us. The best way i have found to treat this way of thinking is to go outside and view beauty and art in life especially now that it is spring it is a good time because the earth is blooming with life and when you do this breath slowly and smile just be glad your alive in that very moment. I overcame this fear by finding beauty in Life.

Some times

i am sorry you lost your dear ones.........yes,most people fear death...............but think this way.............death only divides us..........your loved ones are on the other side

Yes, it is normal to fear death, just as we all fear the unknown. I do sympathise with you over the death of your son, I can't imagine how devastating that must be. Only those who don't have faith can be so blase about death, because they just say once you're dead that's it. God will guide his children through their fears with his love.

I'm sorry about your loss. It's hard to loss someone. It's quite normal to fear death, I do as well, the best way is to talk to someone. Psychologist? Have you tried that? They may have the answers to help you.

I'm feeling sorry for you, my dear. You're really a nice woman but reality is being cruel to you.
I do have the fear of death because you'll lose the one you love dearly. Medication doesn't help as much if your thoughts are not being cleared. It's only helping you to control the emotion and let you feel better for a few moments.
Look, everything is all about life and death. Everything happens for a reason, you might not know it directly though. Perhaps the deaths of your love ones let you acknowledge the presence of faith. It taught you to be stronger, and i'm really proud of you.
Everything comes and goes, you might just want to learn letting it go and be happy with what you have now. Cherish every moments. :)
Don't worry too much, you're not the only one who's having such fear too.. So, look at the bright side of life.

Yeah... it's absolutely normal to fear death... i'm human too and I accept the fact... and you have too... because it's just as certain as the rising of the sun and the moon...

Just try to preoccupy yourself with something constructive to do with your life...

it's completely normal to fear death!
