Please, please don't hurt yourself!

I struggle with insomnia, too. It is so frustrating, I know. I lay awake next to my husband for hours sometimes. It makes me crazy to know he is laying there sound asleep while I toss and turn.

My doc has said he's prescribe something to help me sleep, but I'm too scared to take anything that might be habit-forming. I sometimes take 50 mg of Benedryl and that helps a lot. I try not to take anything at all, but sometimes I just have to.

Praying is very helpful. I don't know what your spiritual beliefs are, but it can be good for you to just say what's on your mind, even if you don't believe in God. Just to get it out of your head.

My doc said to do things that aren't very stimulating, like writing or reading. Television and video games are the worst because they stimulate your brain. Do something calming or soothing. Hot showers are good for that.

Please know that you are not alone in this struggle. Talk to your doctor and see what he recommends.

Take care & God bless.

holy cow, firstly it's not worth killing yourself over. nothing is worth that. then have you ever tryed lavender? it's a natural non narcotic relaxint. then maybe a doctor can perscribe something like soma, ambien cr, and so on. you have options and choices. beware the cr drugs as sometime they promote sleep walking which can be dangerous. just be able to dedicate 8 FULL hours to sleep a night. hang in there and it will be ok and remember killing yourself is not the answer, it is never the answer.

First - be aware that you're probably sleeping a lot more than you think you are. (A human being can't stay alive for months with no sleep.) But sleep deprivation can cause your mind to not be as sharp as it can be, leading you to the thoughts you're having.

Second - talk to your doctor or, if you don't have (or can't afford) one, go to a hospital. There ARE things medical science can do to help you - but you have to ask for help. Not here, but from a doctor. Don;t just sit there - go ask for help.

dude nothing is worth killing yourself over....camomile tea before bed or even warm milk are good ways to relax you and calm your mind....you might also want to try reading a book as you are laying in bed, this will help you to focus your mind on one thing....you could also listen to very relaxing music....mogwai is great music to help relax you....good luck and God bless

Use lavender, valerian, chamomile essential oils. (young Living brand really work.)
Take 5-HTP at night.
Turn OFF your wireless Internet if you have it and your cell phone due to high EMF. Take out your cell phone battery.

Do you live next to any towers or electrical lines?

are you getting enough exercise in the day time?
Maybe you can try some of these adjustment type things and see if they might work for you. Good Luck!
