Question: I asked my doctor to prescribe me a sedative which she had given me in the past. she said no and that she wasnt going to prescribe me any more. so i went to my pharmacist and told her that i forgot to get my prescription can she give them to me and she did, i know i lied and whatever but can i actually get in trouble for it?

umm yea...im a pharmacy tech, and your pharmacist can definelty get in trouble, your not allowed to give a drug without a prescription!!! dont tell too many ppl!

for taking illegal drugs yes. and your pharmasist would probably get in trouble too

ya probably
ur werent subscribed tht stuff
and ur pharmacist shouldnt make the drugs without the prescription

yep you can get in trouble.

yes you can. The pharmacist will most likely call your doctor and verify, if the pharmacist is competent at all. Correct this before it gets way out of hand.

You could get in trouble with your body, it's ultimately harming you so why do it?

yes, but what are chances.. slim.. next time follow your doctor's advise,, it's to help u,,,

It is possible that your doc or the pharmacist may somehow find out. I'm not sure you can get in 'trouble' for it but you may have a few harsh words spoken to you when you cross paths with either of them again. You may have to find a new doctor as well. All probability would dictate however that the doc and pharmacist are so busy they will not have the time to see it.

Yes, you have an addiction problem that you need to deal with. Your doctor isn't saying no just for the fun of it. Now, both you and the pharmacist are likely to get in trouble.

Yes, and the pharmacist could lose his job. You need to straighten this out and fast.

Yes, you can get in trouble for this. It can also get your pharmacist in trouble too. She could loose her license.

Your pharmacist is an idiot. However, it is partially your fault that your pharmacist will lose his/her license because of your lie. Also, if it is a controlled substance, which I have a feeling it is, then yes, you could be arrested and go to jail for it. Next time, if you get a next time, just go to another doctor and ask for the medication.

yes and so will the pharmacist--you call this deception/ fraud; you best see your doctor so that the situation does not get out of hand...you can try some natural herbs to deal with anxiety--no illegal drugs tend to harm more than help you

I think the pharmacist should be fired. Harsh maybe but no one should be able to get drugs from a pharmacy without a prescription. Hypothetically let's say you were a suicidal person and of course a person in that position would lie so they could get the drugs and use them to overdose. A pharmacist really shouldn't evet take that kind of chance whether she/he thinks they know you or not. I completely think that you could get into trouble but moreso the pharmacist who released the drugs without a prescription.

find a doctor more interested in helping you

yes, you violated the Federal Controlled substance act.

As for your belief that you are not addicted, I would advise you to go shovel it somewhere else. You lied and broke the law to obtain medications you were not prescribed......just like addicts do.
