I can't sleep , help?!

Question: Last night, I couldn't sleep much. I sleept around 5 hours, interrupted and I just tossed and turned most of the night.

I usually fall asleep an hour or so after going to bed, but it was never this huge of a problem.

I am a bit paranoid I guess, that someone will come into my house and kill me, and I live in a really safe neighborhood and I've never been even broken into before so I have no idea why I think that way, but I can't help it.

Can anyone help me?

Has anything made you feel unsafe? Whether it's watching the news or reading it in the paper it could be causing these thoughts. If so try not to watch the news for a few days and try to do calming things before going to bed. Like start turning the lights off about an hour and a half before going to bed. Take a warm bath, drink tea or a warm glass of milk. Read or write in a journal. The noise level should be down too. If the thoughts keep coming back then try speaking with a counselor or something just to figure out where it's coming from. Hope you get some rest soon.

It's compeletly normal to not be able to sleep sometimes; however if this is a constant problem for you, try drinking some warm tea or milk and then reading before going to bed. It will help you get your mind of real life and thus help you sleep. If this does not help, try some natural sleeping medicines.

How many nights have you not been able to sleep? If this is frequent (2-3 days a week or more) get to your doctor. Lack of sleep can make it hard to function in your waking life. Sounds like you are anxious about being hurt at home. Do what you can about security, use a night light (no shame in shining a little light on the subject) and talk to someone you trust about your fears, including the doctor you'll go to to get help to sleep and to address your fears.

If you work hard all the day you will get a good sleep. If you do not feel so , get involved in any work interesting to you, like chatting in internet, reading books etc even during night. When you feel tired go and sleep. It is common thing in everyones life.
You live in a safe place and so let wahtever feeling come and let them go. Nothing will happen. Every one will die . Just never mind that.

Yer put your tv on sbs when u go to bed you have to read the subtitles works for me.

i have the same problem i also toss and turn at night and think that someone is going to come and kill me but i would try not to think about it or just if you a really bad felling in the middle of the night and sweat tell your parents or loosen up your blanket if your tucked in tight and the best thing to do is just try to think about something else.

Don't feel bad. I myself am very much paranoid when it comes to my safety. When I am about to get into the shower, I always go to all my doors, and double check the locks. I fear someone may come into the house to rape or kill me. Nothing in my life has happened to me like this. I pray that it never does. I am very cautious nowadays. You have to be. On the news there are many people being harmed daily, every second. If your sleeping becomes extreme, contact your doctor as soon as possible. When you get scared, remember that you are never alone, God is always watching you and protecting you from any great danger or harm of any kind. I don't know you personally, but I will ask God to watch over you. I will pray for you!

Friend,

The best way to go to bed is with a good book (not a horror one).A pleasant reading. You automatically drop into sleep.

Next let there be soothing and pleasant music(instrumental) playing in a very low volume. It too induces sleep.

Next, there are two beautiful homoeopathic medicines. One is for known fears and other is for unknown fears. You have an unknown fear.
Their names are as below.

1.Mimulus 30 potency pills . 2.Aspen 30 potency pills.

They are to be taken one at 6 am and another at 6 pm or 7 am and 7 pm.

BUT PLEASE CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR AND CHECK WITH HIM IF IT IS SAFE FOR YOU.TAKE ADVISE OF COMPETENT HOMOEOPATHIC DOCTOR TOO.IF THEY PRESCRIBE IT THEN OK.PLEASE ACT ACCORDING TO THE PHYSICIANS ADVICE.

A glass of warm milk also induces sleep , if you like milk.

I know exactly how you feel! Night lights work like a charm, so does drinking herbal tea before bed.
Good luck~
