I need guidance?!

Question: I always seem to be attracting men who are unnavailable. Then I settle for someone i'm not overly interested in.
These unnavailable men are always interested in me except in every case they'll have a girlfriend or are studying and need to focus etc I'm getting frustrated in advice on healing this pattern
I am very aware that this is a father issue and forgiveness is needed and im working on it but need more advice
sensible answers only please!!!!

It is human nature to desire what we can't have even more. Call it the snob factor. Do you feel that if someone is available to you, they are not "worth" as much? What is this saying about your values and self-esteem?

Make yourself a bit more selective. Start knowing exactly who it is you are looking for. What are their characteristics? Being emotionally available should be one of them.

I wouldn't make this a father issue or a psychological issue at all. You can't really control who you attract, but you can control who you date. Once you realize a man is unavailable and/or fits that pattern of men you are trying to avoid, stop dating him immediately. Use common sense to overcome this. If you don't want to date and marry a drug addict, don't date drug addicts. If you don't want to date and marry a Buddhist, don't date Buddhists. Being single is difficult and frustrating, and you need to be patient with yourself. You may have to meet and date many people before you find someone you are compatible with, and remember that the good men out there who are looking for a good woman are as frustrated as you are! You will eventually find each other, probably when you aren't even looking. It always seems to happen that way.
