Was I having an anxiety attack?!

Question: the other day i was laying down watching tv, almost sleeping, but i decided to get up and get something to drink, as soon as i chose to get up and not to sleep, my heart started racing up to about 110bpm, like i was sprinting. and my head was tingly and it felt like there was electricity in my stomach and throat. and my hands were tingly too, i was really shaky and unable to relax. and my heart rate was sky high, i had to call 911 and they came over and said it was just an adrenaline dump, or an adrenaline rush, but i've been really stressed out because of work lately and people at work are treating me like ****, andputting a lot of pressure on me to not make mistakes, and all i ever think about is work. so could being stressed out from work cause these sypmtoms? i could breathe fine and i took deep breaths but it didn't slow down my heart rate, any ideas?

Yes, that is exactly what it sounds like. I have anxiety attacks from time to time, and when I get mine my hearts races, and I feel really shaky and almost fidgety. Sounds like your stressed out, and anxiety attacks come from stress, mine do. You need to try some things to relax yourself. Read a good book, one that interests you, reading is very relaxing. Or try a nice bath... I know guys don't do baths much but they are sooooo relaxing. Just do whatever you can to relax yourself a little, so you won't have anymore anxiety attacks... Good Luck!!! Oh, and maybe you need to see a doctor about this. I went to see my doc. when I had one and they sent me to a cardiologist. Nothing was wrong, but they wanted to make sure everything was alright. Symptoms like this, apparently, could mean something is up with you heart.

Also, anxiety has nothing to do with your health. Stress can cause so many problems. Stress can cause some people to have cold sores, seizures, stomach aches, anxiety attacks, etc. Just because you are "unhealthy" (not saying you are) doesn't mean your going to have anxiety attacks, the little people get them just as much....

yes.. it sounds like it. epscially if your hands and feet went numb or tingly

unhealthy physically? like overweight? or maybe you got a combined headrush with a sudden crushing of stress and it combined to a panic attack

anxiety leads to heart attacks ,, you need to eat properly .. maybe you do an unbalanced diet . grabbing a quick snack aint cutting it , youll need proper rest ,,healthy foods,,and get to a doctor and have it checked out . meantime over look insults as others know the remarks bother you so they do it all the more . be the better person and handle situations maturely. dont go down to thier level:) you may have a heart murmor. doubtful but dont play games with your heart. if you smoke ,,quit! forget the alchohol too... thats not gonna quench your thirst .you appear unhealthy in other areas not mentioned ..how close am i cuz all that leads to heart problems ! sorry but theres the scoop.

There are a few people in my family that get these kind of attacks. It sounds like it can be quite an ordeal... And SO many people get these but many keep it to themselves. (Not that you should by any means, I think that is more of they feel akward because they don't have a reason to say what causes it, or they think they are "not normal"... <--- Who is, right?) :)
I would see a specialist. Sometimes a commonly prescribed Rx can eliminate the problem, or help calm it down some. Or a doctor could offer suggestions that could help right away.
Part of the reason why attacks are so "unknown" to some:
-They have so many different symptoms
-Anything could trigger it. (Varies too much person 2 person)
-Treatment, Rx, ect... Don't stop them equally for everyone.

Research it, see what works for you. Don't feel bad for having to see a Dr. about it. They are great at what they do...
