Cant sleep?!

could somebody please give me advise on how to fall to sleep???

Are there alot of electronics nearby? Move them. They can interfere with your sleep.

yep, i usually lay awake til 5:30-6 a.m. myself. I hate going to bed cos i cant ever sleep! :(

that's been me for the past 2 months.

i've tried everything from complete darkness - which led to complete silence and creeping me out
turkey sandwich and milk before bed
hitting the gym before bed
reading
trying all-nighters so i'm sleepy the next night

but i just take natural herbs now

My boyfriend is constantly having this same problem... i know it sucks! Hes been takin Sleep MD and Nyquill and stuff like that, it helps. Having calming music on helps too. Or do something that will make you really tired... i know it sounds silly to do late at night but get on the tredmill or something (im sure the excersice is good too=) ) before you go to bed.. it will make you tired.

Get off the computer for one :) Staring at a bright light all night long resets your internal clock causing a delayed sleep syndrome, also limit caffine/sugar/ most food in general, right before bed and get plenty of excercise.

If it's just an occasional problem you can take a Benedryl pill. This allergy medicine makes you drowsy and it's really a safe medicine.
It was the only over the counter medicine that worked to help me sleep.

First off, never take sleeping pills. Your body will tend to be dependent on the drug. Just drink a glass of hot milk, not cold. If you think alot, try to list it all down. Avoid making your bed as a working table. Eat foods high in protein at least 4 hours and exercise 2 hours before going to bed. Turn off the lights or anything that is convenient for you or will facilitate sleep. It depends on which you are comfortable with. Avoid drinking beverages/foods which contains caffeine (e.g. chocolate, softdrinks, coffee) 8 hours before bedtime. If your being sleepless symptom persists, consult your doctor. Hope it will help.

Work hard enough to sleep for six hours and do eat grapes before you go to bed.

hi try this,may be this could help u:
drink warm milk-it induces sleep
have bath in tub with luke warm water
be relaxed
BREAK THE WORRYING HABIT!
switch off phones,lights

and last---worrying a lot about insomnia(sleeplessness) itself will lead to further insomnia
so be cool go to bed without worrying abt anything

if it exists even after this get ur hormones checked cos high levels of thyroid hormone can lead to insomnia

i have nights like that alot,,my nights start about 6am cause i work night shift,,if i had a zanax that would help
