Well, I think you could find a connection between all mental illness. I'm Bipolar, with really bad Depression, past OCD, and Anti-social tendencies. I take medication and smoke pot, which seems to help. I'm pretty sure OCD and Depression are linked, since the OCD can cause Depression. What kind of Bipolar are you? The one where you are only high or low, and then normal, or the one when you are high, low, and normal?
Wow, I totally rambled. Sorry.

jaffree, there is likely a link. it is all about being in control of what is happening in your like. they are all extreme behaviors. bipolar: extreme happy or sad. OCD extreme worry about not being able to fix or do something. schizophrenia: extreme voices in the head leading you in all different directions. each one of these disorders are about not being able to control what is going on in your head. try just paying attention to what your thoughts are...you will find that your thoughts are either in the past looking for pain or in the future looking for more pain or anxiety. if you can understand that, then you can begin to help yourself... write me if you need more help

Maybe. I'd bet OCD runs higher in the bipolar population than in the general population, but I have no stats to back me up. I do, however, know a couple ppl at the support group I drop in on occassionally have BP and OCD and have seen the two together online a lot. Personally, the only time I get OCDish is when I'm going manic, but that's a BP symptom and not a separate dx.

Yes
