If you took Zoloft and gained a lot of weight and then weaned off of it...?!

Question: then decided to try it again cuz the anxiety came back, WOULD you gain weight the second time trying it also? Or should I try a different antidepressant?

I would talk to a psychiatrist and see what other options would work for you.

They all have the proclivity to have you gain or lose weight. Wellbutrin is an off-label anti-d (it started as a smoking cessation drug), so I hear that it may be less likely to cause gain--but chemistry varies by person.

I've had weight gain issues with pretty much all of the medications except for Lexapro, but it seems to be more likely to ruin sex drive..so be ready for that fun.

Good luck!

There are many different antidepressants out there. One that has barely any side effects is Lexapro. I'm sure if you gained weight the first time on Zoloft you will gain again. Ask you doctor for a different medication. Good Luck and relax.!!!!
