I want to go to the hospital and get them to help cause i cant take this, but i am not suicidal, will they actually be able to do something about it? or just tell me to go home and deal with it? if it makes a difference, i live in ontario, canada.

im not sure how canadian medical system works, but your regulat faimly doctor should be able to perscribe you a medication for this, if not he/she should be able to refer you to someone who can. But, medication is not a magic pill that will solve all your problems, meds will jsut take the edge off the anxiety, YOU will need to cure it by learning about what is making you feel that way. A therapist can help.

Also, I want to share a website with you that I discovered a few days ago, and it is helping me. its http://toolstolife.com/

but we have to remember even with all the tools to cure our anxiety or depression or whatever it may be, WE need to put in 100% effort into changing ourselves, because nobody else is going to do it for us

goodluck

I wouldn't say you need to go to a hospital. Is your doctor a family doctor, psychologist, or psychiatrist? You should probably talk to whomever your doctor is and explain your symptoms. Sounds like you need some medication. If your current doctor doesn't do anything about it, consider changing doctors. They are paid to treat illnesses. Many would be happy to help you. I just don't think you will find the proper help in a hospital.

If you don't have someone close to help you going to the hospital may help and they could get you something to relax or ??? Maybe the doctor gave you the wrong anti-anxiety meds, they could be keeping you up at night if you take them too late in the day. You may also need a medicine that covers both depression and anxiety until you can get your serotonin levels back up. But sometimes just writing down your thoughts before you go to bed whatever is worrying you can help. Sometimes singing to yourself or playing some quiet music can help, also if you like to pray say a favorite prayer over and over to help you get to sleep. I got some tapes for my daughter how to deal with anxiety etc and the list for there first session is below. If you are seeing a therapist and they aren't helpful there are a hundred others to pick from. I hear up in Canada therapy is free which is wonderful for you. Take care and God Bless you, DD.

The Five Steps to Recovery:
1. Be compassionate, patient, and gentle with yourself. Stop thinking, saying, and doing things that make you feel bad, anxious, or upset with yourself.
2. Give yourself credit for ANY success! Praise yourself for even the smallest accomplishments.
3. Keep an open mind. No matter who you are or what you've been through, you CAN be helped. But you must want help. You must want to get better. You must want to take responsibility for yourself and the way you feel.
4. Don't overreact to your anxious feelings. Instead of fighting them, listen to them. Are you tired? Are you scaring yourself with your thoughts? Relax and let them pass... and they will.
5. Keep a journal. Note when you feel anxious, note when you feel good. Write down what you were doing, who you were with, what you ate, and what time of day it was. This will help you see if there is a pattern to your anxious episodes. I think you will find that there is.

i take xanax for my anxiety. it can be addicting, so i only take it when absolutely needed. if you don't want meds, i'd suggest yoga or tai chi.
