Is this cause for concern?!
Question: The past year I discovered that I really enjoy pain during sex. as of right now i haven't done anything too painful, except i woke up with a huge bite mark on my arm that I didn't realize was left there becasue it didn't feel like he was biting that hard. I never knew what s&m was until recently and it describes me very well... but is this associated with mental illness at all? should i be worried or cautious about it?

It can be associated with mental illness, but it isn't always. Unless you're having other kinds of mental problems such as extreme low-self esteem or depression, or something like that, I think you're fine, some people are just into that. It's normal.
normal, no worries
Its not a mental illness. You should be fine, just take care. Treat your wound so it doesn't get infected. A person's mouth has a lot of bacteria.
see a concealer. it may not be anything or you may have a problem your not aware of
My goodness, you really should not worry. So many people have different ways of having sex. Some pee/poo on each other, which is cause for concern due to hygiene issues. Everyone has their "thing" so no I would not say that it is at all associated with mental illness but is rather a personal preference. As for being worried or cautious, I would just say that if you find that you have broken skin or are bleeding or heavily bruised, well, just be careful! Good luck in all your S&M endeavors. (winks)
