Good question - not sure of the answer but think you a part way there in recognising that you allow it bother you. You can decide not to let it bother you. We don't have to take on things from others. You have a choice. You can make comments like "you are entitled to your opinions." or "we can talk about this further when you are more reasonable" Stating your boundaries clearly and being prepared to walk away if the pressure is building. Good luck with it.

Start spiking your hear and wear a spike collar. Carrying around a switchblade, and not looking like a queer also helps.

oh you have to defend yourself and don't leave that some bully bother yourself, i think the best way is refuse some of their provocations and run away from them

Try not to let it bother you. Remember that people bully because are they are insecure about themselves and are trying to make up for it. It really depends upon the situation. You should confront the bully if you believe that you are not in danger of being physically hurt. If you are then you should let someone in authority know what is going on and they should be able to help. Sometimes the person that is bullying you just needs to talked to and it could just be that you are perceiving their actions as bullying when they aren't intended as such.
