Has anyone successfully stopped taking Effexor XR?!
Question: I mean with no panic attacks, or anxiety afterwards. I felt anxious and nervous for about 6 days last year and boom doctor slaps Effexor XR on me which I have been taking for about six months. I am supposed to take it for another year but I feel like I'd be fine coming off this emotion killer now.

I've tried 3 times; within 3 -4 days was puking and flu like symptoms; shaking and crying, rocking in the bed, losing my mind. I try not to take it 1 or 2 days on the wkend. Yeah, I'm addicted. Canceled a trip once because I had to get a refill.
And, I actually like it better than Lexapro or Zoloft. (devil in a bottle)
I want to get off this stuff one day; but I can't now.

YES BUT IT IS HARD BUT TRY IT IT IS DIFFICULT BUT SO MUCH BETTER!! GOOD LUCK X
My G.P tried to wean me off Effexor-by day 2 I was climbing the walls-I felt anxious,sick and emotional-I started taking it again -I couldn't cope !
