I have had patients prescibed this medication in the past. Usually Seroquel is used to stabilize mood for mood disorders such as bipolar and schizophrenia it has been found in these patients to make them a lil sleepy. So small doses now are used to calm people down and aid in sleep. Used as a sleep aid it is considered "OFF LABEL" because it is not its first and formost purpose.

Also/Side note: different people have different reactions ot medicaitons. Reember that before you ask a message board about thier experience with a certain medication. For example lol antibiotics constipate me while they give my sister the runs. Our bodies process medications differently. Take medications as ur doctor prescribes, be aware of side effects and monitor ur reaction to the drugs, and NEVER discontinue a medication on your own. Ask your doctore or pharmacist before stopping because certain meds need to be slowly let out your system and cold turkey can do more damage than good.

I have had one prescription for Seroquil. For me, it caused my nightmares to worsen, dried my mouth out while sleeping, if you can call it sleeping. I think it's a horrible drug/chemical that should be taken off the market. A friend has taken it for awhile & he has short term memory loss. Also, his son & daughter take advantage of him, as in asking him for money, and he doesn't remember the details. Once again, it shouldn't be on the market.

this medication is not to be taken lightly.as always ,any medication that puts us to sleep , if not taken properly can be very dangerous.do you have anxiety that prevents you from falling asleep or do you have insomnia?there;;s also something else that might prevent you from sleep.it's called seep apnea.i have sleep apnea .it interferes with my sleep. i take klonopin to help me sleep.ask your about this.eat right and by all means, exercise ,and the problem might resolve itself.i think seroquil is a little harsh for sleep deprivation.i''m about to be come a psychologist.i hope i''ve helped.

tylenol pm or benedryl are better to help you sleep, they might not be telling you why they really gave you the seroquel

TO TELL U I HAVE THAT AND I WILL TELL U IF U OR UR PALS LAGH I WILL FIND U AND KILL U

BYE HEN

I was prescribed Seroquil to help me sleep at night. I'm also bipolar so it also is being used to stabalize my moods and calm my racing thoughts. Some days it works great other days not so much. Be prepared though to be groggy the next day as is my side effect from it and I've heard it's pretty common. Good luck!
