You don't. If they have raised you this way, it is engrained in their character and they don't know any different. Confronting matters like this only make it worse... I am going through it right now with abusive and manipulative parents and my doctors' attempts to help THEM, too. My doctors and their's are dumbfounded as to what they can do at this point. It's a pretty pathetic situation, because my parents are complete fakes who would never admit to wrongdoing despite the hell they have put our family through. My doctors can even tell in my parents body language and demeanor the amount of hostility that encompasses our household, yet my parents swear perfection.

Now that the doctors have begun to very gently confront them, the stress levels are even higher and screaming, yelling, and ranting even worse. It just isn't worth it.

see a doctor.

i would take someone with me for support also. just remember, you can't take back what you say. once it's out there it's out there. Or you could try writing it all down first too. Good Luck!

First you need to decide if you truly want to confront them. List the pros and cons. I chose not to but debated it for a long time.

Next, decide how you want to confront them. Sometimes a letter is good. Sometimes having a counselor with you at the time helps. Sometimes over the phone.

The biggest challenge will be getting them to listen. They won't want to and will end up in the same abusive pattern that is life to them.

And most importantly, have someplace to go afterward that is safe for you emotionally. Even if it's on the phone, even if it is after sending the letter. You'll need the support. Good luck!

walk up to her/him and say:"stop treating me like this! I am sick of u!And if u don't stop doing it,i'll call the police!!"
maybe like that??lol...
