What do you do, to stop someone you love, from destroying themselves, ..right in!
Question: Some one I adore, is falling down fast...slipping into deep darkness, and despair..right before my eyes...I know that the Lord is in charge here, but can you relate, and tell me how and what to do? All I can do for now, is to let them know how much I care, and love them..and in spite of it all...will be here for them..I am heartbroken..what do I do?

There is nothing like feeling the pain of helplessness.
My brothers were both alcoholics and involved in drugs and it is very hard to watch someone intentionally ruin themselves and all the qualities that you adored about them go right out the door whenever they turn to drugs, alcohol, or whatever your situation might be.
The best advice I can give to you is to show them tough love. Do not enable them to keep destorying themselves. They need to know that you love them, they can always come to you, but you will NEVER be the person to love them so much that you will help them hurt themselves. They'll appreciate it later!
Pray and be there for them. Get them the proper help even if they get mad at you because you will eventually be forgiven, or at the very least have done the right thing.
They may need an intervention that you are not qualified to do. You didn't give details, so it's hard to speculate.

try to reach them.
be genuine in your care & speak to get the message into their head.
& last but not least. never give up of you love unconditionally.
keep trying until theyre on their deathbed if thats what it takes.
they will eventually come to know the warmth & love you did so much to shower them with.
