If you think you need psychiatric help, DO you?!

Question: Sure, it can't hurt anything. If you don't need it, the shrink will tell you so.

many times yes... some people are hypochondriacs and therefore need help as well, but not for what they may have in mind

i don't know but i think i do and i think i actually do lol

I don't neccesariely think so...some people worry without cause that they are disturbed or "abnormal". When they have the same concerns as anyone else. No harm going to see a counselor. However, there are many other resources (depending on the situation) that may not cost as much. Books, support groups, networking with others, etc.

If you think you need help you should seek it out.

um, maybe not because you are aware if your thoughts are different/unusual/weird/ or just not you, like they say "a crazy person doesn't know they're crazy"... if you think you might be loosing your head, just that alone should let you know that you are still fully in charge of it. remember that your mind is the most powerful thing, if you can control that and are aware of what's going on, than you are better than you think.

I'm beyond any help.

Probably, although some people who have been around the mental health system for a long time sometimes get 'stuck' in it and would actually be better off out of it.

It is always worth seeking help if you think you need it.
I mean, i think i possibly have ocd, because i didn't at first i thought my friends were being silly but after they told me what i was doing and stuff i realized okay that does sound weird, but i just couldn't stop it, and thats when i decided to seek help.
So You should basically :]

YES...already see one acouple times a year...i WAS manic depresive..it is now controlled by taking ''zoloft'' which is an anti-depresent medication...it has changed my outlook on life...

For the past few years, my life has been a train wreck, and stressful beyond belief. I don't go to a psychiatrist, but I do have a therapist, and let me tell you, he is worth his weight in gold. I've gotten a healthier outlook on things, learned how to keep a more positive attitude on the bad days, and also learned several tremendous ways of coping with stress.

My therapist has been a godsend.
