Need a bit of a pick me up?!


Question: i thought i was having a pfft day, but that pfft day turned into a pfft week and ive got deadlines creeping up in all directions, my mates are pissing me off- they havent really done anything wrong theyre just annoying me, i cant have a decent conversation with anyone apart from one mate who comes on once in a blue moon, i want to go home but i am home if that makes sence, im getting fat and im getting a cold. i need a short term or long term pick me up- dont do drugs or any of that rubbish just something that i can do to make me feel good again

hey yeah :) don't fret this too shall pass...it sounds like you are feeling a bit overwhelmed with everything and everyone...i have no magic answer for you but it sounds like you need some time away from what you need to do and your friends...some ME time...do something that will destress you and this may be a chat with that one friend that comes around once in a blue moon...why don't you ring that person up and have a chat or even better..if you feel you need to break from everything...spend that time with yourself either going to a movie...no one talks to you and you don't have to worry about anyone seeing you...choose a movie that won't demand too much brain power...I find a comedy works for me something stupid that makes me laugh...laughter lifts any soul.....otherwise take a hot bath and stay in there for a while until you feel your body is relaxed..don't forget the soft music (instrumental - words just activates your brain and that it what you need to avoid for this exercise)..maybe even almost fall asleep...best thing ever....from there go directly to bed if you feel like it....don't watch news, don't do puzzles and do not read anything that will demand much consentration....I know that your deadlines may mean that your mind would wonder in that direction but talk to yourself and tell yourself that this is Me time and that you will go back to thinking about deadlines later - give yourself time to do that maybe tomorrow and if you get to that time focus on those deadlines only and make specific plans....however the time now is for you to destress and relax and get yourself back to a place where you would be ready to focus on those things you need to do...make this Me time something regular..it doesn't have to be long it can be anything between 10 minutes to a day whatever you need...doing it daily means that you will have to do something for yourself something you want to do every day...it means that YOU PUT YOURSELF FIRST...

aww bless you - i reckon you need to take some me time for yourself and do something you enjoy for a day or so and see if that gives you a pick up and makes you feel a tad better! its pritty crap when you have a awful rubbish week and nothing or anybody is makin anythin any better for you - just do something you enjoy to make you ok and pick u up a little.

Treat yourself to something that you've always wanted but have always decided against or put off.

go have a really good meal. and then go and watch a comedy with that one friend take a warm shower and well this happens to every one u just have to be positive .
