How to stop my internet addiction?!


Question: I go on the internet atleast 4-5 or more a day.

How can i cut down to a healthy amount and put my mind on other things?

Awww, get a puppy!! They needs LOTS of attention, they are cute, they will love you, and it will be a much healthier interaction for you.

purchase Internet use that give you only a limited amount of time--like phones where you pay as you go. This way you will be forced to limit you use otherwise you will pay a high price.
You can limit your use by telling others what you are trying to do and ask them to help you get away from the computer when you are using it for long times.

Get rid of your internet.

Though you'll probably then spend your time daydreaming instead.

Turn your lappy/PC off and go outside, no matter where you live just go for a walk.

Go window shopping, do some volenteer work, go to church etc.

There is so much more outside youre front door..

Disconnect the plug from the wire, so each time you go onto your computer you have to rewire the plug first. This would surely make you think twice. Or simply disconnect the plug from the electric source, whatever slows you down and makes you think twice about it. Use an uncomfortable chair so you can't sit for long or get your boss to check regularly that your not sciving.

not to sound mean but gets some friends.! when im at my dads im prolly on the computer just as much but when im at my moms, im rarely ever in my house. let alone on the computer. and thats because im always on the go with my friends with sports my job and ofcourse shopping.! there is alot to do out there. its all in a matter of what you like to do..besides the computer. what websites are you going on..ha ha dont answer that. but if myspace go hang with friends...what all guys go on go to a strip club. or just get some girl friends.

Get a hobby. Maybe two. Then you won't have so much time spare time on your hands. Still use the internet of course, just you won't be on it so long as simply you are doing other things

try slowly cutting down. Disconnect your computer so you have to reconnect every time. Try to get out more, even if its just for a walk. Try to make more friends so you will have less time to spend on the net. Do other things you enjoy or take up a new hobby. Its not easy but with a little work you will succeed. Good Luck
