Is it okay to take a tricyclic with an ssri?!

Question: I was on Prozac (60mg) which is an ssri + Imipramine(75mg) which is a tricylic for the past 2 years. It managed to stabilize my depression after six(6) 'hellish' years on Zoloft, then Remeron, then Luvox, then Effexor without success. So, the combination of Prozac + Imipramine did the trick for me. What combination are you taking now?

Depwill

SSRIs can increase blood levels of tricyclics and may cause complications. You should never mix them without consulting a physician.
