Wow... i'm the exact same!! Teenager, think about things before I go tos leep and get worried, sick feeling in my stomache!!

I wish I knew why!!

Try not to eat or drink anything about 2 hours before you go to bed. That might help a little.

Lots of people say have a nice warm hot chocolate before bed, but that doesn't work because then you just wake up during the night and need to go toilet and it starts all over again!!

Sometimes I watch tv, or I listen to music going to bed. So that i'm concentrating on the tv or music rather than worrying about things in my head. It actualy does work most times. I fall asleep much quicker!!

Also, maybe doing some excercise about an hour before bed can make you more exhausted and tired and you'll fall asleep more quickly. You'll be too tired to worry about things!

Just try different things and you'll soon figure it out.

Also try sorting out the things that are bothering you and that your worrying about so that you don't have to think about stuff in the first place. I mainly can't sleep because i'd be thinking of school work I have to get done, and just stupid, waste of time things but I can't help it!!

Hope that might help even just a little bit!!
Good luck =]

Not sure why. Hyper thoughts are *sometimes* a sign of mania, as in bipolar, or ADD/ADHD. You could try doing relaxing activities before bed: read, deep breathing, yoga/meditation. Keep a mini notepad near your bed. If something comes to mind, write it down and forget about it til you wake up. Retrain your brain. Allow yourself to relax and fall asleep. I hope this helps.

Could be stress from things going on in your life right now such as school problems, family life problems, etc.

If not then could be health related. In that you case should see a doctor.

Maybe in other case you should see someone who can help you. Either medical doctor or some mental health adviser.

Maybe a school counselor can help you.

I don't think your to young to have sleeping problems teens these days have a lot on their shoulders but their are a few things you can do to help with stress on is keeping a journal I know that sound odd but if you are thinking to much and worrying about issues it helps to write them down so you can get them out of your head.

The things you are thinking about are making you worry which causes anxiety which can make your stomach feel kind of sick. Try not to go to bed until you know you are so tired that you will not be able to stay awake when you get into bed. Try to wind down before going to bed. Watch TV, read, or do something you know will help make you sleepy.
Good Luck.
