Why can't I say I love you?!

Question: Well I can but I feel really weird saying it. Everytime my sis or brother said it I say you too. I never say it back. I hate being touched too. I don't like it when someone kisses me on the cheek. I just think about all the germs in their mouth going on my skin. lol It's weird I know.

I know what you mean! I can be as nice as pie to people I don't really know, but when its someone I know and like the barriers go up. I cant say nice things and touching very awkward.
I have not overcome this 'barrier' yet so I can only say you are not alone in that. If you find a cure let me know!

IMHO, it sounds like a phobia. :)

Come on Haley,this is for you.
I Love You, always

Do you feel love towards these people? You could feel awkward saying it if you're confused about your emotions. Can you express love in other ways? Such as caring for people, doing things you think will make them happy, saying other things?

Lots of people dont like intimate touching for a number of reasons so you're not abnormal in that regard. Maybe you just havent met someone that can make you feel comfortable expressing such emotions...

Perhaps if you say those words, you would feel vulnerable.

I used to, but after I got used to saying it, it felt better. It really is just realizing that no matter what you have been through with these people, it is still ok to put that aside and love them unconditionally. It may be easier as you get older.

Love is not a feeling.
Love is a verb.
If you want to love then you must do good things to that person, that will prove if you love them or not.
And here is what Love means (to love and to charish is the same thing):

Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,

Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;

Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;

Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.

Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.

thank you for your time
