No, it is a choice. God gave all of us a free will and a mind to decide for ourselves which way to go. Just like God told Adam and Eve not to eat the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, but when Eve saw that the tree was good for food, pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit and did eat, and gave also unto her husband, and he did eat. She rebelled against God's Word, and plunged the whole world into sin.
God made Adam and Eve. God put male and female together, He did not put Adam and Steve together. This is against everything God stands for. Homosexuality is something that mankind imagined in their own mind, desired in their hearts, and participated in. Homosexuality is not a mental problem, it is a sin problem according to The Bible.

It was only a sexual orientation or sexual preferences on both sexes in which it's their personal choice or lifestyle. And the good thing is, they are being accepted in the society nowadays without doubts and humiliations from others.
I don't think it's a "mental problem", first of all because it is not purely psychological and secondly because it's not a "problem"! No one knows what causes it, but I think most homosexual people will agree on the point that they were born that way and have always been that way. Some may have lived in denial for years or maybe even their whole life, but homosexuality doesn't just happen out of the blue, nor is it instigated by someone or something.

Sexuality is controlled by a gene in the body. Some people have a homosexual gene, and some people have a heterosexual gene, and some people have both (bisexuals). So it is a physical "problem". But it is also a mental "problem". The gene sends signals to the brain so that your brain knows what gender you're, I guess, supposed to like. So, I think it's a mixture of the two, mental and physical. =]]
