Answers: I have bipolar i live with it. Why do people blame bipolar on crimes they do or anger issues?

You are right of course.
I think bipolar, a real disorder, has become a wastebasket diagnosis for some professionals; i.e., if they don't know what it is, they call it bipolar. This is unfortunate for people with real bipolar disorder, and for people who are misdiagnosed, and for the people who are hurt by these people.
Bipolar or not, people have to control their anger, as you seem to imply.

Just a copout.

Sometimes it isn't an excuse, as you know from experience, everyone is different, everyone with a mental health condition deals with it differently. Some people who have it can't help being angry, but it is the approach they take to manage it, that is where the blame lies. You are very strong to deal with yours without such issues but not everyone is like that.
By the way it isn't bi-polar which is just diagnosed for the hell of it the is bordeline personality disorder - 2 very different things. Let us not get them confused!

Hi. I am Bipolar and I can assure you that anger is not an excuse! It is a symptom that we have to learn to control.

different degrees of the same disease ... Do you have psychotic episodes ? many people with Bipolar Disorder do have psychotic episodes .. during a psychotic break , you are not responsible for your actions , if you can not distinguish reality from fantasy.
Anger issues are another story .. no psychosis goes along with that.

there are many many many crimes that are not commited by people who are bipolar. only 15% of all jails have people with mental disorders.

i don't use bipolar as an excuse, but i know it's the reason
why i get pissed off sometimes. i am a severe manic,
i have been stable for a year now. yeah sure i have my moments still, but i cope. i try to control it to the T. but it's just the reason WHY we act the way we do. if we could control ourselves 100%, you really think we'd be taking meds for our problem?
