Please help me!! - Depressed?!


Question: Ok. I have been depressed for about 3 months now but I have never told anyone. Earlier tonight, I went out for a walk in the rain and I felt really sad.

I was on my phone to my mum about 10 minutes ago and she realised that I sounded down. I told her it was nothing but she said she was going to talk to me later.

What should I say to her??? And because I really want to tell her what I am going through, but how do I say it to her???

PLEASE HELP ME!!??

I'm not going to lie to you, this wont be a fun convorsation. But you do need to tell her, even if its just a hint of whats going on. You need to build a strong support system so that when you fall someone will be there to catch you.

Just say mom im stuck in a rut and i just feel really sad. Im sure you mom will say she loves you and is allways there for you and then it will be over. After this convo you will be able to rely on your mom.

You need to talk to people if you want to feel better . If you lock it up inside you then it will only get worse. The hardest thing to do is to talk about it but it does make you relieved when its off your chest.

Been there done that. So depression is one of the worst things to go through. Im one who just cant say what im feeling or going through. I can write a note though. It doesnt have to be a note that even follows one thought. I wanted to talk to my mom but every time I got there i talked about something else. It got to the point where I tried to kill myself. I wrote a letter to my mom and gave it to her. Because I was embarassed about how I was feeling I left the room. When she was done she came to me. Try doing that. If you cant see her when you want try sending it to her. explain why you are doing it that way though. Good luck to you. Also if you are wanting to do something about it but dont want to go to the doctor try St Johns Wort. Make sure you check it out. It does interfere with certian drugs.

You need to talk to someone. maybe a good friend?? Or maybe even your mom. Once you get it out you will feel better and then you can get more help if need be. Maybe it is just something that you need to get off your chest, its not good to hold things in!

its definately better to talk to someone, it sounds like ur pretty close to your mom. Why not just bring up in conversation and say ' oh ive been feeling quite down lately', it doesnt sound weird or anything and you will be just fine but she may take you to see u doc. believe me they see plenty of people in similar situations.

also, take a look at your diet. eat plenty of oily fish like fresh salmon and u may want to take a high strength vitamin b supplement. these are needed for feel good chemicals. but talking is probs best medicine. good luck honey!
