I don't know about the medical side of it or anything, but speaking from experience, I panic when I feel something dangerous or tragic could happen to me and its out of my control.

When I was younger, and even sometimes now I panic or become nervous thinking about certain things.

My symptoms normally are

- Sense of dread or impending doom
- Perspiration
- anxiety
- Depression
- elevated heart rate

that's just me personally, I know everyone is different.

If you think your having Panic attacks you might want to go see a doctor.

they happen when you panic ... :|

i had one once when i was stressed

it seemed weird, like, i knew i was making myself do it after a while but i didnt want to stop?

just like heavy repetitive breathing, like your trying to hyperventalate...

i duno, i was about 13 or so at the time and was stressed with my parents making me work

when you are groing up you wonder what it will be like to grow up,., so when you are grown those thoughts arent fun enough any more,. so you get interested in what "everybody is doing" and you learn how to live by yourself.and after all the "first experiances are over,. you feel the excitement of getting a new full diffrent night every time you want to go out,., it is the outside world pulling you in,., but it cant so it is to let you truly know that you are going to have an exciting and intersting time until you are through with your world., you know like you can try and figure out what causes things and think about why you like the things you do and why you think what ever you do about others,. becuase everything is enjoyable from a diffrnet perspective or people would get angry at disrupting yahoo answers to ask,."how do i hook up my computer?"

They happen when you are overwhelmed with almost any emotion, fear, stress, anxiety, or many others.

Pretty much it just feels like a heart attack, also hyperventilating, shakes, sweat, and many others.

Yes, emotion does not care how old you are, in fact teens are more prone to be overwhelmed.

everyone operates at a certain stress level that feels normal to them in everyday life. When a stressful situation arises, that level jumps. Now some people have a much higher 'normal' stress level than is healthy (but they don't realize it), so when a stressful situation occurs, they are pushed 'over the top' so to speak, where the stress reaction takes over.

The trick is to lower your overall stress level, so you can deal with the more stressful situtations.

Panic attacks often occure because the person is afraid they WILL have an attack, and that in itself is enough of a stressor to triggor the attack.

Yes, teenagers suffer panic attacks.

Some Tips: Get regular exercise to burn off excess adreneline and other chemicals in the body associated with stress.

If you feel 'panicky', try tensing up every muscle in your body and holding tight for about 30 seconds, then release and relax. This is a great trick you can do anytime when you need to lower your stress level.

Develop healthy life habits. Be sure to learn to enjoy yourself, have time for relaxation and leaisure activities.

Good luck.

Panic Attacks are actually a chemical imbalance in your brain. Your brain goes to the "fight or flight" stage without you knowing how to deal with these awful feelings. Rapid heartbeat, dizzy, sweating, The feeling of wanting to leave wherever you are. These are normal feelings and are hereditary. You should however see a doctor and make sure this is actually what's happening to you. It starts usually in your early twenties but can happen at any time. My suggestion and my experience is to stop caffeine immediately and exercise, exercise, exercise! When you work out, your brain releases happy chemicals! Good Luck!
