Its paranoia youre experiencing. Paranoia is an acute form of worry. I assume youre on antipsychotics, thats first choice in treating your problem. Second is add valium.

Maybe you could try reading some books on cognitive behavioral therapy. That helps you to change the way you think about things. Good luck to you!

Try repeating to yourself outloud "my mom is perfectly safe" if you picture your mom in harms way. Repeat this five times out loud. And also try to make a visual image in your head of your mom being safe.

Also, do your parents know your having these problems? Talk to them.

There are very good medicines out there now, that will help you..and you do need to take them,..it might be trial and error for a bit, until you get the right ones...But if it were myself, I would ask God and Jesus, to help heal me, and lead me to the right cure...with the Lord, all things are possible..

Are you sure it's schizophernia? It simply sounds like an anxiety problem. I do the exact same thing, my dad works on a mail run, and every day that he's late, I keep worrying that's he's been in a car accident. When people walk into a store after me even, somtimes I just think about what that person might do. If someone has their hands in their pockets, maybe they're holding a gun! Things like that run through my mind, they always have. But I just try to think, yesterday he came home.. He'll be home today too.
