Yes. If you have a eating disorder though, that is going to give you phsycially pain and heart problems faster than depression. YOu need to get real help. If you do not get real and understand that pills alone do not help solve such issues, it will not get better by itself. You have depression, eating disorder, and anxiety disorder. Why? That is the real question here. There is a reason why you have these particular disorders. They are often caused by the feeling of a lack of control in life, often due to abuse, verbal or otherwise. You would then have low self esteem and those things will show themselves in the ways you stated. Really and truly, you can get better, but not by pills alone. You need to face your monsters (with professional help), and then slowly come to understand that real control is the understanding that you are not at the mercy of anyone. You make the decisions about your life and no one else. Other things can influence it, but you choose. Perhaps it is time to choose real freedom. Get help and understand that you really can overcome these things if you want to begin your life. Right now you are exisiting. Wouldn't it be nice to LIVE? If you do not like the first or second or third psychologist that you go to, keep trying until you find one. Here are two people that can really help you. Dr Phil Mcgraw. He is true and he is great. I actually met him and his wife and they are the real deal. ALso, tune into this woman. She has been through it herself and back again. Her name is JOyce Meyer and she has a show on several times a day on cable, twice in the morning and once at night. It is called JOyce Meyer enjoying everyday life. I kid you not. Watch her and you will understand. God bLess and good luck!

yup, body aches, head aches, leg aches......

yes

yes, yes, yes, it causes pain. That was what made me go to the doctors and get diagnosed. Feel better!

Yes, it can definitely cause physical pain like what you're describing. Have you tried getting help for your depression? You probably should if you haven't already, there are a lot of treatment options that can help you to feel better.

You poor thing...I can only imagine how you feel. Yes it is normal for you to experience some wierd aches and pains in different parts of your body.

I'm not sure if you are taking any anti depressants right now but if you are not I would suggest talking to your family Dr. The other thing is you need to get to the root of the problem and talk it out with someone.

If you start to involve yourself in some outdoor activity, or get involved in groups and discussions that might help ease your mind.

Definately diet is also a good thing for you ...try to avoid Wheat and grain products, eat lots of fruits and vegetables and eat less fried foods and fatty foods.

Hope you feel better!

Depression can and will take an effect on your body, as will the other problems you are dealing with. They are very serious and should not be over looked. It sounds like you need to find the reason (s) of your issues and find one of the many many resources you can use to resolve them. Good Luck hope you get better!! :)

YES!!! Yes it can. You should talk to your doctor and get some Mood Enhancers to help you feel better emotionally enough that you can feel better physically.

You bet! Depression takes on many forms/disorders in the body, other than just the typical ones. However, some of the new drugs (Cymbalta, Effexor and some anti-seizure drugs, to name a few) are very effective for both the depression and physical pain caused by it. Talk to your doctor about this and I'm sure you can get some relief from it.

Yes, you're making yourself sick. Stop concentrating on how you feel. Do something,... walk, jog, something so you will FEEL better. The feeling better is in the doing something

From what I heard it sometimes can hurt you physically. I was depressed for almost a year but I only felt ill mentally and emotionally nothing physical.

Depression Hurts everywhere! Thats why there is advil and antidepressants

All of your symptoms are caused from depression and anxiety. There is help for that with a medication. I have the same disorder for many years and have all those symptoms but even at times, even though I like people, I stay away from everyone and hide under the covers. Sometimes I sleep a long time too or don't sleep at all. I have headaches everyday and all my joints and bones ache. Anorexia is a killer though and I hope you are getting help with this. With all these things going on with your health and mental health, you will feel this way. Anorexia will eventually kill you but I think you know this and I don't think you have it under control. ("try to recover") Eventually your organs will shut down.......so please get professional help. Anorexia is about what you feel you can control, as you feel you can't control anything else in your life. I would look to your family life, as there is something wrong there and therapy needs to be for the entire family. Best wishes and go for help so you can try to recover fully. It will take time though.

Yes it can definitely cause pain symptoms -- and usually does.

yes mine does and can. I get stress headaches and sometimes my depression keeps in the house for days medication makes it more bearable

God yes!
Our brain does weird things to our body.
It took more than 12 months for the 'professionals' to diagnose my depression and anxiety because they were looking for something physically wrong with me.
After losing over 30 kilos (about 70 pounds) and after endless scans, blood tests, MRI's, exploratory surgeries, hospital admissions, etc etc, one clever doctor referred me to a shrink.
After some careful planning and medication things started to improve.
After time I started to suffer less from the physical and the mental improved too.
5 years on and I still take the medication but I'm still here !
Sometimes I feel like crap too, but if you learn to just 'hang on' then you will wake up one morning hopefully soon and things will feel much better, I wish you good luck :))))

yes it can, don't you watch tv,the commercials are right.get help asap.depression can also make you not eat so,you may not be as bad off as you think.i lost 40 lbs before i got help.so do yourself afavor and get to the dr.any ol dr. will do.my reg praticioner helps me.just don't act too crazy when you go.iwound up in a mental facility.and my dr refusedto treat me.

yeah, can cause chest pain, head aches and random pain in parts of your body

and the lack of energy is aparently because people with depression get to much REM sleep

and anxiety and eating disorders are very common in people with depression
