Therapy question??!
Question: Hello. I have been thinking about going to therapy lately because, even though I feel I have mostly "recovered" I am strill struggling from an eating disorder. For people who have gone to therapy.. I have a few questions.
1) Does it matter if your therapist specialize in your issue?
2) Do you prefer a therapist of your same sex?
3) Does age of the therapist matter to you?
I am just looking for what might fit me. There doesn't really seem to be any therapist that specialize in ED's where I live.
Btw I am 23 year old female.

even if they dont specialize in ED..they know about it. I do prefer women...and dont call me prejudice or w/e...but I like a bit younger therapist...they seem to know what im talking about
1) its preferable that they know what they're talking about
2) no
3) id rather have my therapist be older....because older people are just naturaly an adult type figure?
