Hows long can a bipolar go with taking their meds before a manic episode pops up!

Question: It all depends on the person. Knowing being diagnosed with it you should know you can have a manic episode even on meds just not as bad occasionally but that's not always true. I've had bad episodes even on my meds and taking them the right way.
You can just start taking your meds and have a manic episode. Believe me the more you go on and off your meds the harder the swings get. I can understand if you were a person wanting to have a baby then make sure you work closely with both ob/gyn and pyhci doc. But men don't have to worry about that.
All I can say is don't go off your meds it's just not worth it. I know the manic side can be fun but it scares family and friends that something bad will happen to you.
I hope this helps!

The absolute longest I've ever gone is about 3 weeks. And it was bad cause when I get manic, I get MANIC. I tend to quit taking meds often, I wouldn't recommend going off it.

nobody can tell you that but you. it's an individual thing.
you also wont be guarenteed a manic episode, you might have a depressive or psychotic one instead.

it depends on you, the drugs you are on, how long it takes you to metabolism them and a bunch of other things. sorry man, but nobody can answer that one.

first off, you'll have crazy withdrawl symptoms that can cause manic episodes or psychosis.

gt back on your medication before everything gets worse.

I would think it depends on the person.
I would not recommend going off your meds however, if they are really bothering you, talk to your Dr and perhaps he/she can adjust the dosage or give you something else. Good luck, feel better.
