Why am I always nervous--what is wrong with me?!
Question: I want to go out and go to big events and interact with people. I used to have self-image issues, but worked on it and now I am very happy with who I am and feel I have a lot to offer. I want people to see who I am and I want to speak my mind, but I always get nervous whenever I am around ANYONE (expect my mom and brother). I am even a bit unrelaxed around friends. I always feel I will say or do somethin stupid and am afraid my voice will shake, or I will seem awkward. What is wrong here; how can I fix it!?

I think you may have some social anxiety problems -- many people do. There are a lot of different ways to help you with this: meditation, talk therapy, hypnotherapy and self-hypnosis, medication, guided imagery, etc.
Talking to a therapist or counselor would be a good way to start setting up a solution that is just right for you.
Social anxiety *can* be conquered
sounds like SAD to me...social anxiety disorder (google it)...i have it aswell and it really gets in the way. It makes me feel really bad when I have to say no to friends because i am too anxious to hang out...my mom took me to my doctor who recommended a psyciatrist and i am improving every day! trust me your not the only one, and if i were you i would talk to your mom about it and seek medical help. For me, it continued to get worse until i talked to my doctor.
Ever hear of free-floating anxiety? Just a guess. And as for having something "wrong" with you, I don't think there are too many people walking who have not felt the same way.
I can so relate! Don't let it life pass you by like it has me.
Don't care if other people put you down. I shouldn't have.
Spend money, put your toes in the sand or the grass.
Enjoy life, don't let anyone diagnose you with anything!
If you really feel this is serious, see a doctor.
