OK this is silly but it helps me. Watch TV...mentally make a list of all the little chores that you need to do that you don't want to do. THEN run like crazy and try to do one on each commercial.
My mother used to say that only boring people get bored. Help yourself. It seems that being self entertaining is a dying art.
If you don't have anything to do and you are on the computer, try doing freerice.com and go answer some questions that will donate rice tohungry children.
