Question: SHe doesn't work, she complains about everything, she drinks too much alcohol, she calls her daughter all the time and her daughter can;t help her and neither can I. What is wrong with this woman you tell me?

Drama queen and shes is a basket case she needs to sort this out on her own I feel sorry for her daughter the constant whining has to drive you crazy I don't think I could listen to it all the time I would have to tape record her and have her listen it good luck

She's selfish.
get her into rehab, all those symptoms come from too much consumption of alcohol. get her professional help right away.
Take her to a doctor, and seek professional help.
Don't label her as crazy and throw her away !
It seems as the alcoholism is affecting other parts of her life. First I would go about getting her into a recovery program, if you can, a residential-style program where she can stay there and get help for her problem and underlying emotional issues.
It sounds as if she wants help, especially because she's calling her daughter all the time. Listen to her cries and help her.
she is a alcoholic, it is a decease that you cant cure, if you care about this woman, go to a Al-Anon meeting and learn how you can live with this woman, if not quit complaining cause it is useless.

I hate to say that she is an alcoholic! The consumption of alcohol changes a persons normal behavior, if she is not to far gone & is aware that she drinks to much she will be able to slow down her drinking to where she can make good choices & function as you know her! but if she is gone to the point that she dosen't realize that she has a problem while drinking a pint of Jack Daniels she needs to get into at least some type of 12- step program!!!
Why are you hanging around with someone you really don't like?
If you want another answer then here it is she's her own person and maybe you need to be your own person and more accepting of others as they are.
