I'm surprised you have to ask now.
Had this question been answered for you, 5 years ago, would it have made any difference in your drug use?

Medical terms that I understand to be true, are that once a brain cell dies, it is forever dead. Fortunate for you, we only make use of a fraction of the brain's cells in our head. Some people learn to adapt to compensate for what is lost, and others are doomed to a life with minimal brain skills compared to what they were born with.

Please tell us, If you had it all to do over again, how would you have spent the past 5 years?
And....in what other places would you have chosen to put your money that was spent on the drugs?

A Jr Hi Teacher's assignment was about the most convincing thing for me to stay away from smoking. He had us do the math on all he had spent on cigarettes over his adult life.....
It was equal to the price of a new Cadillac. We all knew what car he drove - it was no Cadillac!

the brain cells u burn do not come back, they say sometimes you stay chemically imbalanced and need the aid of anti-depressants or other types of similar meds.

When the brain cells are gone, they are gone. There is no way to repair the damage of most of these (huffing is particularly dangerous to the brain).

brain cells do not regenerate. Once they're gone they're gone. Keep what cells you have left intact, you'll need it.

You're born with a certain number of brain cells and that's your lot. You don't grow more.

Yes it can repair if you give it what it needs. The mind can not only repair itself but it can also evolve and again only if you give it what it needs and in sufficient amounts.

Go I hope so. j/k The we can take drugs, repair, take drugs, repair. 60yrs / 5yrs = 12.

No, Nerve damage from any source is quite permanent. Now ain't you sorry you did drugs ??

You're given a certain amount of brain cells that unfortunately do not reproduce. Once you've killed them, they're gone. It's called brain damage buster.

Drugs & alcohol take their toll on the brain cells. As the brain cells become "mush" the mind is affected also. Brain cells do not rejuvenate themselves.

no but the brain grows more, but they are diffrent and they take on the job, so your brain does heal, but the ones that have died? - are already dead and are a waist of space that cannot be replenished

I am going to tell you my experiences with drugs. I am now 26 yrs old and at 14 i discovered amphetemines wich i devouered at a great rate evry type you can imagine as my friends father owned a chemists. i went from them to barbiturates verrry strong ones which i used with the speed i followe with coke. I then went for maybe 3 years just doing lsd and mdma listening to rave music and locked away with frends listening to Dylan 4 days a week. I then turned to heroin which totally loved me. But all this time i was also continueing to work in the computer industry quite happily. I am now just an in frequent cocain user but smoke herbal cannabis daily. I am second in charge of our computer room which is part of a multi national company and have my owm house with a happy family. Maybe i am a lucky one but i know many professionals in London in similar situations.

I hardcore went for it for over half a decade, everything apart from Herion and Smack. Mostly pills and coke and i'm fine. It's the fact i'm a trainee solicitor and was always in the full swing of education though that saved me. Just don't go full out all the time.
